Dr. Harrell has taught more than 18,000 undergraduates and 400 graduate students over a 40 year career.  As well as earning a Ph.D., he has a law degree and is a member of two state bar associations.  He belongs to a number of professional associations, including the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science. He has served on numerous thesis and dissertation committees in a variety of disciplines.  He has a reputation for taking on "hard" cases, especially students who have struggled with a dissertation over many years.

As a scientist and scholar, he has published hundreds of journal articles, book chapters, abstracts and conference presentations. In particular, he has actively co-authored with graduate students and young academics.  He has served as a journal editor co-founded a major academic journal, and been a reviewer and editor for a number of publications.  He knows how to write and to publish, and he can pass this wisdom on to you.
